Charly started her dance training at 3 years old. She took jazz, tap, hip hop, tumbling, and ballet at Calliope (formally Dance Image) and Janet Grey Studios. Around the age of 10, she wanted to focus on her technical training and started at The Ballet School, under the direction of Jan Clark-Fugit and Shelly Cordova. There, she developed strong technical training in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theater, African, and character.

When The Ballet School closed its doors, she moved on to train at Treehouse Athletic Club, under the direction of Bonnie Story. While still training at Treehouse, she continued to train from various studios- such as Center Stage, Ballet West Conservatory, Prodigy Dance Studio, Dance Illusions, and Pulse 31. She was also a member of Sojourn Dance Company. She was a part of the youth cast for Odyssey Dance Theater's "Thriller" for 5 years.

After high school, she attended Dixie State College and was on a dance scholarship. She trained in standard and latin ballroom, modern, and dance composition. After college, she was on Transfusion Hype Dance Company, where she focused more on her contemporary and urban movement and trained in break dancing. Once her time on Transfusion Hype ended, she focused more on her personal life and continued her training as a hobby. She married her husband, Steve, in 2010 and gave birth to her son, Harlow, in 2012 (both of which happened on August 12th). She started teaching around 13 years old at various public schools and summer schools. She has taught ballet, pointe, jazz, and lyrical at studios such as Millenium Dance Complex, The Waterford School, Element Dance Center, Dance Crew, Salt Lake Dance Center, Thompson Lane, Prodigy Dance Studio, and Southern Stars Dance Studio (in St. George).

Now, she teaches at Just Dance Studio- ballet, jazz technique, pointe, and contemporary. Within the last few years, she has started training in more underground styles of dance- such as waacking, voguing, and house. She is still training and growing as an artist and is really taking the time to enjoy every moment spent on the dance floor.
