2012-2013 Student of the Year "Cali Evans"
It's no secret that this girls dancing can take your breath away.  She has the power to make the audience feel what she feels when she performs.  In my opinion, that's what dancing is all about.  Not only does this girl have an amazing ability to dance, she is also all around an awesome person.  She may be quiet, but she never is rude to any students or teachers here at JDS.  I've felt so luck to be able to teach her this year.- Miss Ali

All year I have told all the dancers to dance with their hearts.  This dancer has found exactly what I have been talking about.  Every time she is in class, competition or whatever it may be, she expressed herself through her dancing.  She has also grown leaps and bounds as a dancer and into a beautiful young women.  I am so very proud and I also want to thank her for letting me be a part of her incredible dancing journey this year. - Miss Celeste

I have watched this dancer grow for many years.  She has always been such an amazing, beautiful dancer.  Every year she grows so much more.  She is always supporting her teammates and brings such joy to our studio.  I am very proud of what she has accomplished over the years.  She has inspired so many girls within the studio and so many of them look up to her.  Our studio wouldn't be the same without this dancer! - Miss Rachyl

Over the years, I have become extremely passionate and have grown attached to this dancer.  Besides the fact she is amazingly talented & beautiful, she is a tremendous young lady.  She carries herself in a way on the dance floor that is just captivating and you can't take your eyes off her.  She is very driven, always works hard and strives to be the best she can be.  Not only does she expect the best form herself, she has the ability to bring the best out in others.  She is a natural leader.  Whatever task we give her, whatever task we give her, whether it is big or small she tackles it head on and always conquers it.  We can always rely on her.  She has been an enormous asset to the studio in so many ways.
She is one of the studios top dancers, is an excellent student and a great role model.  So many dancers look up to her, especially the little ones.  She has a way about her that she's accomplished this fame without even knowing it.  She is very humble and genuine.
It has been a bit of a struggle this year to get her to recognize how great she really is and to believe in herself.  She needed to find "it" and boy did she finally do just that.  And when she did, I couldn't have been prouder!!!  It was a very special moment that we shared.
I have deeply enjoyed teaching her and getting to know her.  It is hard to put into words how much she truly means to me and how much of an impact she has had on me.  She will always be special & I will cherish the time and memories we have shared.  It has been an honor to have been a part of creating her own unique dance style known to the studio dancers.
I want you to know that you are truly amazing and the sky's the limit for you.  Always remember & feel the "it" and don't ever stop believing in yourself!  I love you!!! - Miss Jessie

This is my first year teaching this little dancer.  She is so sweet and always comes to class happy and ready to dance.  She is always nice to her teammates and has such a big heart.  She always came to class and knew her dance and was ready for what we had next.  She is growing into such a beautiful dancer and you can tell she loves doing it! - Miss Rachyl

This has been my first year teaching this spunky little dancer and what a joy it has been.  I have to admit I was a little concerned at tryouts that she might not be able to keep up.  boy did she prove me wrong!  She ended up being the one that knew my dance the best.  I never had to tell or ask her twice.  She always was prepared and practiced even when she was injured.  She is a dancing machine.  Not to mention what a great teammate she is .  Her great big smile is so infectious an she is just the sweetest thing ever.  She knows how to definitely pump her team up!!! - Miss Jessie

I am so blown away at this little dancer.  When she comes to practice she is always prepared and ready to listen and learn form her teachers.  If you tell her to fix something, she does it the firs time.  Not only is she  a cute, sweet, and respectful girl she is also a mighty little dancer.  You can tell how big of a heart she has when she dances.  On top of that she is very sweet to everyone on her team and is very deserving of the sportsmanship award. I can't wait to watch her grow even more each season. - Miss Ali

Words can't describe how amazing it has been to be able to watch this dancer grow during this last season of dance.  She hasn't just improved a little bit; she has improved greatly in very aspect that is involved in dancing.  It's been very moving watching her just let go and dance with her heart.  She is a very beautiful and kind girl.  I am excited to watcher her grow more and more next season.
- Miss Ali

Thinking about this dancer and how much she has improved, brings tears to my eyes.  I remember the exact day, when she figured it out.  She learned how to express and release everything into her dancing.  She grew so very mush as a dancer in just that one day.  And ever since then she has till grown and improved.  I am very moved and happy for this dancer. - Miss Celeste

This dancer has come very far this year.  At the beginning of the year she didn't seem to have much confidence.  She danced inside of  a bubble and never really let go so she could just dance.  I would watch her and could see the amazing dancer within her.  One day at practice we did improve and she let go and just danced.  After that day I couldn't help but watch her when she danced.  She not only improved in her dancing but she improved in her technique.  She has pushed herself above and beyond my expectation.  I am so proud to be her teacher and very grateful that I got to watch her find her "sparkle".  Dancers like her make me love what I do! - Miss Rachyl

This dancer has held a very special place in my heart from the time she was itty bitty and she forever will.  I am so proud of what a beautiful dancer she has become, but more so of what an incredible young lady she has turned into.  She is such a kind soul and has a heart of gold.
It has been such a pleasure to watch her use the beauty of dance to work through her struggles & triumphs in life.  At the beginning of the year, her self confidence was slim to none, her fun & witty personality was hiding in the shadows.  But after a few emotional improv classes, she began to let go & break free.  What a breath of fresh air that was to witness.  She found herself!
I couldn't ask for anything more, what a vast improvement she has made this year in so many ways.  I truly can say that it has been an honor to have had the privilege of teaching her for so many years.  I look forward to many more.  I'm so blessed to have her in my life.  She inspires me to be a better and stronger person.  I love her so much & consider her as one of my own!  Thanks for just being you! Love, Jess- Miss Jessie

This little dancer is talented beyond belief.  I am very inspired by her hard work and passion for dancing.  Watching her grow each year has been an amazing experience.  She is also kind to everyone, which makes her a fantastic person on top of her abilities.  I am very excited to see how far she goes in the dancing world.

This dancer has so much talent!  She is beyond her years in her dancing.  Every time she steps out onto the dance floor I forget how old she is.  She is so mature in her movement.  She has such passion and love for what she does and I love that when you watch her you can fee it too.  So many of the girls look up to this dancer and she is so respectful to everyone at the studio.  I love how humble she is.  When she is out on the floor she owns it, but the minute she is done she is so sweet and would do anything to help out her teammates.  I am so proud that this dancer gets to be recognized for who she is and how she dances.  She deserves this in so many ways!

2011-2012 Student of the Year "Sam VanTassell"
It's hard to start to tell you how much she has impacted me this year.  One of the best words to describe her is HARD WORKER. Every week in my class she pushes herself.  If she doesn't have the right technique or music counts she will make sure that she has it before the end of class.  She is also such a great leader in her classes.  Everyone knows if they need help with anything they can count on her.  I know that I count on her every week to work hard and do her best.

This year I had the amazing opportunity to work with the teams at JDS.  Within one season I have learned so much about all the girls and watched them work to become a better dancer.  One girl in particular stood out to me the most.  I noticed a huge improvement not only in her technique and dancing ability, but within her attitude, confidence and love for dance.  When this girl comes to practice she is always ready to work and gives her 110%.  That hard work at practice reflects in all of her performances.  Every time she performs she captivates the audience, including myself.  This girl has heart, and I just know she is going to continue to improve more and more throughout the years.  Its students like her, that makes being a dance teacher so special.

This dancer has come a long way!  From the beginning of the season, going back into the summer months, this dancer has shown such a huge amount of dedication, and willingness to try extra hard at every single practice.  She has truly gone above and beyond to better herself, not only in her technique, but in her performance skills as well.  She was a true asset to her team this year, and in her goal at becoming a better dancer, her listening skills, her dedication to her team, and her respect for her teacher and fellow teammates, certainly helped this dancer become this year's Most Improved Dancer.  The Staff at Just Dance Studio is extremely proud at how much this dancer has improved just since last year's season.  It takes a great amount of dedication to be on a team and work hard each and every week at dance, and give 110% every single practice.  This dancer certainly did just that this year.
